NMSU has updated the requirements for creating a new Password to a Passphrase.

This document will assist you through the revised process for creating a new Passphrase for your myNMSU login.

Log into your myNMSU account from the myNMSU homepage.
Note: If your 'Password' has already expired myNMSU will redirect you to the creation of a Passphrase.

Step 2:
After you have logged into your myNMSU account navigate to the top of your webpage to the link titled Passphrase Managment and click on it.

Step 3:
You should see the 'Passphrase Management' homepage. Navigate to the right side of the page, under "Reset Passphrase" and enter in a passphrase of your choice.
Note: Your passphrase does not require uppercase characters, numbers, nor special character (e.g #,@,_ etc.). You will need to enter a passphrase the contains a minimum of 17 letters and a maximum of 64 letters.  For example, if you wish your passphrase to be "aggies oh aggies the hills send back the cry" it can be entered as such or "aggiesohaggiesthehillssendbackthecry" or "aggies_oh_aggies_the_hills_send_back_the_cry". The passphrase you enter will be valid for 2 years from the date it is created. Remember to make it something notable to you and you alone.
