Google Chrome - Clear your download history
On your downloads page, you can see all the files you downloaded using Chrome.
See a list of files you've downloaded
- On our computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
Download.
- To open a file, click its name. It will open in your computer's default application for the file type.
Or, use a keyboard shortcut to see your download history
- Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + j
- Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + j
Delete a file from your download history
You can delete all or some of your download history. The files won't be removed from your computer. Deleting just cleans up your Downloads page on Chrome.
- On your computer, click Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
Download.
- For each download that you want to remove from your history, at the top right, click Remove
.
Delete all files from your download history
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More
.
- Click History > History.
- On the left, click Clear browsing data. A box will appear.
- From the drop-down menu, select how much history you want to delete. To clear everything, select the beginning of time.
- Check the box next to "Download history".
- Click Clear browsing data.
