NMSU - Network Registration

This document will guide you through the process of how to register your internet capable device on the NMSU network. After completing these steps, your registered device will automatically connect to the NMSU network when possible.

Most computers are already configured for DHCP. If you think that your computer's settings are not yet set up, click on the link for DHCP configuration instructions. If your computer is already configured, read the New Mexico State University Network Terms of Use to continue with Registration.

1. After connecting to an NMSU network, please open an internet browser of your choosing (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.). This will automatically redirect you to the registration page. If the page does not load you can visit the "Network Registration" page.

NoteNetwork registration is only required when you are first connecting a new machine to the NMSU wireless network.

2. Once at the registration page, please read through NMSU's Network Terms of Use, select the I Accept option and observe the next step.

  • For Authorized Users (anyone with a myNMSU account)
Select the AUTHORIZED USER button, input your myNMSU Username and Password and click OK.

  • For Guests (anyone without a myNMSU account but connected to a myNMSU student, faculty, or staff member.)
Select the TO SPONSOR A GUEST button, input guest's name, and myNMSU information and click OK.

4. Once the registration is submitted you will see your settings page. After seeing this setting page, restart your device.
