OneDrive - Managing Files

Your OneDrive gives you the ability to upload, share, and manage files of various types across various platforms.

Upload your files

  1. In OneDrive, select Upload.

    Note: In the Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome browser, select Upload > Files.

  2. Select the file or files to upload.

  3. Select Open.

Save and open files in your Office apps

  • Select File > Save As > OneDrive - [company name] to save a work file to OneDrive.

    Save personal files to OneDrive - Personal.

  • Select File > Open and then select OneDrive, to open a file saved to OneDrive.

Note: Requires Office 2016.

Select what to do with a file

  1. In OneDrive, right-click the file.

  2. Select a command.

Set up the new OneDrive sync client (optional)

  1. Confirm that you are using the new OneDrive sync client.

    See Which version of OneDrive am I using?

  2. In File Explorer, right-click OneDrive – [company name].

  3. Select Choose OneDrive folders to sync.

  4. Select the folders to sync, and select OKScreenshot of the Sync files from your OneDrive dialog
