Microsoft Word - Convert a Table to Text

If you enter text into a table and later change your mind about that formatting, convert the table into paragraphs.

Convert a table to text

  1. Select the rows or table you want to convert.

  2. Under the Table Tools tab, select the Layout tab.

  3. Select Convert to Text.

    The Convert to Text option is highlighted on the Table Tools Layout tab.

  4. Select what you want to separate the text with: Paragraph marksTabsCommas, or Other.

  5. Select OK.
