Terminal - Log Into SSH (Mac)

The Terminal application allows you to create a secure socket shell or ssh with the NMSU network.

This tutorial demonstrates how to locate and log into your web.nmsu.edu website using the Terminal utility. 

Step 1: 
Open your Finder window and navigate to Applications. From here you will need to scroll down until you find the Utility folder, double-click to reveal your utilities.

Step 2:
Locate the Utility named Terminal and double-click to launch the program.  

Step 3:
Once Terminal has launched enter "ssh" followed by your myNMSU username and @web.nmsu.edu. It should like this "ssh jdoe@web.nmsu.edu". After this is typed in press enter to continue.

Step 4:
You will now be prompted to enter a password. This will be your myNMSU password. If entered correctly Terminal will display a login time. 
Note: If the login time is not displayed, you may be prompted to enter your password again.
